Who Gets Unlimited Education: Student and Premium Only

10 min readMy Path Research

Unlimited Education on My Path is a two-plan entitlement. Student has it. Monthly Premium has it. For Me does not. Around Me does not. Free accounts do not. There is no third paid tier that “kind of” has it. There is no For Me add-on that turns it on. The Education row is unlimited or it is zero.

This page is the entitlement line. Not the marketing paragraph, the rule the product actually enforces. If you are choosing a plan because you want to practise languages or maths, you are choosing Student at €9.99 or Monthly at €19.99. Every other row is a different product. The Student plan is the cheaper of the two ticks. Student vs For Me vs Around Me is the comparison that keeps Around Me from looking like a third tick.

GBP mirrors EUR: Student £9.99, Monthly £19.99, For Me £4.99. PLN: zł49.99, zł99.99, zł24.99. Around Me matches Student on price (£9.99 / zł49.99) and still has zero Education.

The entitlement table

Plan Price Tokens / month Trial Education
For Me €4.99 100 3 days, €0 none (0)
Student €9.99 250 none unlimited
Around Me €9.99 250 3 days, €0 none (0)
Premium (Monthly) €19.99 2000 7 days, €1.99 unlimited

For Me and Around Me inherit the free Education row. Free is 0 sittings. Not three papers. Not a teaser mock. Zero. Paying for For Me or Around Me does not raise that number. The paid thing you bought on those plans is not Education.

Student and Monthly set Education to unlimited. Unlimited is the advertised surface on the plan card: practice sessions, exam mocks, AI explanations, gap reports, the study plan, and progress history. Hub: Education. Plans: premium.

Signup grace does not write a temporary unlimited. Grace does not open Education. A brand-new account is on the free row until Student or Monthly is live. Student has no trial, so “live” on Student means paid from day one. Monthly can be live as a €1.99 seven-day trial; that trial is Monthly, and it does include Education because Monthly includes Education.

What “unlimited” covers

The plan card is the contract. Unlimited Education means you may use the Education module without a sitting cap, including:

Practice sessions. The Practice shelf is live. Cards: General Math, General English, General French, General German, General Spanish, and Math Kangaroo. You choose 10, 20, or 60 questions (default 20), a timer (off / relaxed / exam mode), feedback (immediate or at the end), and navigation (free or forward-only). Skip and flag are available. One grade band or one CEFR level per sitting. Languages label that axis Level (A1–C2). Maths labels it Grade (3–4 through 11–12). Topic filters are a closed list. Unclassified Kangaroo puzzles display as Mixed Problems. How the hub is organised: Education hub: practice and exams.

Exam mocks. The Exams shelf is the sitting-as-the-exam-runs surface. Right now it has no live tests. The named qualifications were retired. Unlimited still covers mocks when any exist. It does not conjure SAT, GCSE, TOEFL, IELTS, Abitur, E8, or Physics back into the catalogue. Do not read “exam mocks” on the card as a hidden list of those names.

AI explanations. After a sitting, explanations that are part of the Education entitlement. These are not a reason to buy For Me. For Me does not get them via a side door.

Gap reports. Session review includes score, correct / wrong / skipped, retry wrong, retry flagged, full retake, and AI gap analysis. Gap analysis is on the Education entitlement for Student and Monthly.

Study plan. The Education study-plan feature on the hub, for subscribers who have the entitlement.

Progress history. Mastery per topic, complexity 1–5, streaks, history you can return to. Topic master at 80%. Badges exist and are not the point.

That list is the module. It is not IQ. IQ lives under For Me / cognitive. It is not personality tests. Personality lives under For Me. Mixing those into “education” in conversation with a friend will make this table look wrong. The table is not wrong.

Education on My Path is the product explainer. Subject pages: General English / CEFR, General Math, Math Kangaroo. We are not affiliated with Cambridge, DELF/DALF, Goethe-Institut, Instituto Cervantes, DELE, ÖSD, or official Math Kangaroo / Kangourou sans Frontières. Language skills here are vocabulary, grammar, reading, writing. No listening, no speaking.

What unlimited does not cover

It does not cover Around Me. Student has unlimited Education and no people-tracking. Monthly has unlimited Education and Around Me. Those are different rows.

It does not cover 2000 tokens. Student has 250. Tokens and Education are different meters. Burning tokens does not pause Education. Sitting Education does not spend the 250. Monthly’s 2000 is a token fact, not an Education fact. Both Monthly and Student are unlimited on Education. The token gap is why some people still pay €19.99 when they already have the Education tick on Student.

It does not cover priority support. That is Monthly.

It does not cover official certificates. Unlimited practice is not an awarding-body stamp.

It does not cover retired tests. Unlimited on an empty Exams shelf is still an empty Exams shelf.

It does not apply to For Me or Around Me in a smaller dose. The free inheritance is 0. A For Me subscriber who asks “how many Education sittings do I get?” has the answer zero. An Around Me subscriber has the same answer. Is Student worth it? exists because that surprise is common and avoidable.

It does not mean the banks are infinite in the sense of new official papers every week. Unlimited is about your sittings, not about us promising an ever-growing exam-board catalogue. The live six are the live six until we turn something On. When something is On, Student and Monthly both get it. When something is Off, neither gets it.

What a sitting looks like inside the entitlement

Once Student or Monthly is live, a practice sitting is the same product on both plans. You are not on a “Student paper” versus a “Premium paper.” You pick a test from the six. You pick size 10 / 20 / 60. You pick timer and feedback. You pick one Level (languages) or one Grade (maths). Multi-band pools are refused; ticking several grades rolls one band. You can skip (“I don’t know”) and flag for review.

Languages are four skills across CEFR A1–C2. English has about 577 signed-off items; French, German, and Spanish about 576 each. There is no audio. Maths renders as maths. Kangaroo items that need a diagram are not optional pictures; some cannot be classified without them. Unclassified puzzles show as Mixed Problems.

Kangaroo papers on our bank follow contest-shaped scoring: 3 points for the first third of tasks, 4 for the middle, 5 for the last. You start on the number of tasks (a 30-task paper runs 30…150; a 24-task paper 24…120). Level 3–4 is 24 tasks. Level 5–6 is 30 tasks in 2020–2021 and 24 in 2022–2025. Levels 7–8, 9–10, and 11–12 are 30 tasks. No wrong-answer penalty. Full write-up: Math Kangaroo practice.

After the sitting: review, retry wrong, retry flagged, full retake, gap analysis. All of that is inside unlimited Education. None of it opens on For Me. None of it opens on Around Me. Let the Student or Monthly entitlement lapse and new sittings stop; the lock returns. Personality results were never part of this meter and stay readable either way.

For Me and Around Me: free Education rows, written 0

For Me is €4.99, 100 tokens, three days at €0, personality and cognitive tests. Education: none. People buy it because it is the cheapest paid plan and then they walk to /education. The lock they see is the entitlement working. Upgrade path is Student or Monthly, not a setting on For Me.

Around Me is €9.99, 250 tokens, three days at €0, people you track. Education: none. Same price as Student. Same token count as Student. Opposite Education cell. This is the comparison that generates the most wrong advice in group chats. Around Me is not “Student without the school branding.” Around Me is the people plan. Student is For Me plus Education. Neither contains the other.

Child profiles sit with Around Me and Monthly, not with Student. A parent who wants grade-band maths and a child profile needs Monthly. Unlimited Education on Student will not grow a People shelf.

Monthly has Education plus the rest

Monthly is the superset. Unlimited Education, same six live tests, same practice rules, plus Around Me, plus 2000 tokens, plus priority support, plus a seven-day trial at €1.99. Price €19.99 / £19.99 / zł99.99.

Choose Monthly when the Education tick is not enough: you also track people, or 250 tokens will not last, or you want the trial before the full invoice. Do not choose Monthly on the belief that Student’s unlimited is a lesser unlimited. The Education entitlement is the same word on both cards. The rest of the cards differ.

Choose Student when Education plus For Me is the whole job. CTA: Get Student — €9.99/month. No trial. 250 tokens. No Around Me.

The six tests the entitlement actually opens

Saying “unlimited Education” without naming the tests is how rumours start. The public, On catalogue is:

  1. General English — ~577 items, CEFR A1–C2, four skills.
  2. General French — ~576 items, same grid.
  3. General German — ~576 items, same grid.
  4. General Spanish — ~576 items, same grid.
  5. Math Kangaroo — past-paper items, grades 3–4 to 11–12, 3/4/5 scoring, start on task count, no wrong-answer penalty. Practice, not the official contest.
  6. General Math — whole maths bank, one grade band per sitting. Kangaroo items may appear when filters match.

On. Means in the public catalogue for paying Student and Monthly subscribers. Beta was admin and roster only; you can ignore that sentence unless you are an admin.

Practice is the live shelf. Kangaroo is on Practice. Exams is empty of live tests. Size, timer, feedback, one band per sitting, Mixed Problems, KaTeX, diagrams that matter — all of that is inside the entitlement once the plan is live, and none of it is available on For Me or Around Me.

How to read a lock on /education

If you are signed out, sign in. If you are signed in and still locked, check which plan you are on.

  • No plan, or grace only: 0. Expected.
  • For Me: 0. Expected. €4.99 did not buy this.
  • Around Me: 0. Expected. €9.99 bought people, not papers.
  • Student, payment failed or not started: 0. Student has no trial, so unpaid Student is not Student.
  • Student, active: unlimited. If a single test card is missing, it may be retired, not locked. Check the six names above.
  • Monthly, active or in the €1.99 trial week: unlimited.

If support ever tells you For Me includes Education, they are wrong. This page is the line. If a comparison site lists Education on every premium SKU, they flattened four plans into one word. Unflatten them.

Two plans. Same Education word. Different everything else.

Student and Monthly both get unlimited Education as advertised: practice sessions, exam mocks when they exist, AI explanations, gap reports, study plan, progress history. For Me and Around Me get 0. IQ is not in this sentence. Personality results stay free regardless.

If you want the entitlement, pick Student or Monthly on plans and then use Education. If you want Student, the button is Get Student — €9.99/month. If you are still deciding whether that invoice is sane, read whether Student is worth it before you add a card.
