Education on My Path: Practice, Not a Personality Test

My Path is an assessment platform. Most of what people find here first is a personality test, a strengths inventory, or an IQ sitting — tools that describe you. Education is a different product on the same cabinet: exam preparation. You study, you practise, you see where the gaps are. You do not get a type, a code, or a percentile that claims to summarise who you are.

That distinction is easy to miss because everything lives under one brand and one sign-in. The Education hub sits next to For Me. The plans page at /premium sells both. If you treat Education like another personality test, you will be looking for a free results page that does not exist, and you will miss the six live practice tests that do.

This article is the map. What Education is. What it is not. Which tests are actually on. Who can sit them. Where IQ still lives.

Three products, one cabinet

The cabinet is organised around three jobs.

For Me is personality, interests, and cognitive assessment. Big Five, RIASEC, values, IQ — the tests that produce a profile. Results of those tests are free to read once you have taken them. AI commentary on those results is metered in tokens.

Around Me is the people you track: environment and persona tests, child profiles, the relational side of the product. It is a separate plan at the same price as Student, not a rung above it.

Education is exam prep. It is not a personality product with extra questions. It is a practice bank with sittings, grade bands, topic filters, mastery bars, and a review screen. IQ is not inside Education. IQ stays under For Me, as a cognitive assessment, because an IQ sitting is a one-shot measure, not a curriculum you drill.

If you only wanted a profile, you do not need Education. If you wanted to practise General Math at grade 7–8, or CEFR B1 English, or a Math Kangaroo paper from the bank, you are in the right place — and you need a plan that actually includes it.

What “Education” means here

Education on My Path is study, practise, pass. The hub copy says “Practice. Learn. Master.” That is the whole product in three words.

A sitting is a configured slice of a question bank: one test, one grade or CEFR band, a size you choose, optional topic and complexity filters, then a timer and a feedback mode. When you finish, you see score, correct, wrong, and skipped. You can retry the ones you missed, retry the ones you flagged, retake the whole sitting, or spend tokens on an AI gap report.

That loop is the product. There is no “your Education type.” There is no composite score that follows you around the cabinet the way a Big Five profile does. Mastery is per topic, on that subject, built from sittings you actually complete.

The bank is closed-vocabulary on topics. Algebra is Algebra. Vocabulary is Vocabulary. Puzzles that resist a keyword show up as Mixed Problems, not as a dump labelled unclassified. That matters later when you try to build a study plan from the topic cards instead of from a vague sense that “maths is weak.”

The six live tests

As of now, six tests are on in the public catalogue for Student and Monthly subscribers. Everything else you might remember from a screenshot, a competitor, or an older page is either retired or was never public.

Those counts are signed-off item totals, not a promise that every filter combination yields 577 questions. A sitting of 20 at B1 grammar is a sitting of 20, drawn from that cell.

Languages have four skills, not six. There is no listening and no speaking. There is no audio. You are practising against a CEFR-shaped bank, not sitting Cambridge, DELF, Goethe-Institut, DELE, or anything with an official badge. We are not affiliated with those bodies.

Math Kangaroo is practice on our bank, built from real past-paper items. We are not affiliated with official Math Kangaroo / Kangourou sans Frontières. You are not entering the contest by starting a sitting here.

General Math has no exam-family pin. It can serve Kangaroo items when the grade and topic filter match, because those items live in the same maths bank. Grade is required on both maths tests. That rule is why grade bands matter, not a UI quirk.

What is not on — say it plainly

SAT, GCSE, TOEFL, IELTS, Abitur, and Poland’s E8 (egzamin ósmoklasisty) are not available. Physics is not available. If a card on the hub looks locked, it is Off. Do not plan a term around a qualification that is not in the live catalogue.

The Exams shelf is the place where a real past paper would be sat the way the exam runs. It currently has no live named qualifications. The live catalogue is the Practice shelf: General Math, the four languages, and Math Kangaroo.

Kangaroo lives on Practice on purpose. People drill it. They do not “sit” it the way they sit a leaving exam. The Education hub is ordered Practice first for the same reason: most people arriving at /education do not have a specific paper in mind yet.

Education is subscription-only

Personality-test results are free. Education sittings are not. That is the uncopyable contract, and mixing the two is how people bounce off the upgrade screen and assume the whole cabinet is paywalled.

Only two plans include unlimited Education:

  • Student (premium_student) — €9.99/month, 250 tokens/month, no trial, unlimited Education. Get Student — €9.99/month.
  • Premium (premium_monthly) — €19.99/month, 2,000 tokens/month, a 7-day trial at €1.99, unlimited Education, priority support.

These two do not:

  • For Me (premium_self) — €4.99/month, 100 tokens, 3-day trial at €0. Personality and IQ. Zero Education.
  • Around Me (premium_around) — €9.99/month, 250 tokens, 3-day trial at €0. People you track. Zero Education.

GBP mirrors EUR: £4.99 / £9.99 / £19.99. PLN has its own ladder: zł24.99 / 49.99 / 99.99.

Student and Around Me are alternatives, not a ladder. Same price. Student trades Around Me (people you track, environment and persona tests, child profiles) for Education. Student is For Me personality tests plus unlimited Education. No People on Student. No priority support — that is Monthly.

Signup grace days do not open Education. A For Me trial does not open Education. Tokens do not buy a sitting; sittings are the entitlement. Tokens buy AI on top — the gap report, explanations — the same way they buy AI on a personality result.

If you only wanted Big Five and an IQ score, For Me is the cheaper plan and it is the honest one. If you wanted the practice bank, For Me will show you an upgrade gate that says Education is part of Student. That gate is working as designed.

Personality results stay free. Sittings do not.

This is the sentence that should survive a skim.

You can take a personality test on My Path and read the result without paying. That has always been the For Me deal. AI on that result is what tokens meter.

Education does not work that way. The sitting is the product. There is no free 10-question teaser that then upsells a PDF. Student or Monthly is what opens the bank. Once you have that entitlement, sittings are unlimited. You are not buying General English per attempt.

That is why the hub, signed in without the right plan, does not quietly start a sitting and then surprise you at question 12. It sends you to /premium.

Where you actually start

Signed in, with Student or Monthly, the hub is /education. Two shelves: Practice, then Exams. Live cards today are all Practice.

On a practice card you pick:

  • Level (languages: CEFR A1–C2) or Grade (maths: 3–4, 5–6, 7–8, 9–10, 11–12)
  • Complexity
  • Topics from the closed list
  • Size: 10, 20, or 60 questions (default 20)

Inside the sitting: timer off, relaxed, or exam mode; immediate feedback or review at the end; free navigation or forward-only; skip (“I don’t know”); flag for review. One grade or CEFR band per sitting — if you tick several grades, the card rolls one of them. It does not mix them. The API refuses a mixed pool with grade_required.

After the sitting: score, correct / wrong / skipped, retry wrong, retry flagged, full retake, AI gap analysis if you have tokens and the Education entitlement.

Mastery is a bar per topic, complexity reached 1–5, a streak if you are showing up. A topic master badge exists at 80% mastery. Badges (first lesson, perfect score, 7-day streak, topic master, exam ready, polyglot) are there. They are not the product. The sitting is.

Who this is for, and who it is not

Education is for someone who already knows they need to practise a language level or a maths band, and wants a bank that will not silently mix a nine-year-old warm-up with a school-leaver warm-up.

It is for a parent buying Student because the child needs drills, not because they wanted another personality inventory. Student has no child profiles and no People list; the Education sittings are still the point of that plan.

It is not for someone hunting an official SAT, GCSE, TOEFL, IELTS, Abitur, or E8 mock. Those are not live. Saying otherwise would waste a term.

It is not a substitute for a taught course. There is no teacher on the other end of a sitting. The AI gap report is a report on this sitting, not a tutor.

It is not IQ practice dressed up as schoolwork. If you wanted a cognitive score, that sitting is still under For Me. Mixing the two would make both products worse: Education would inherit IQ’s one-shot logic, and IQ would inherit a curriculum it does not have.

Honest limits, then the door

Four skills on languages, not six. No official-exam affiliation. Kangaroo is practice, not the contest. Exams shelf is empty of named qualifications. Student has no trial. For Me and Around Me include no Education. Grace does not sneak you in.

Those limits are the product being specific. A practice bank that pretends to be every leaving exam in Europe is a different (worse) product.

If the six live tests match what you actually need to drill, open the Education hub. If you need the entitlement first, the plans are on /premium — Student at €9.99/month, or Monthly if you also want the rest of the cabinet at full token volume.

Education is exam prep. IQ stays under For Me. Personality results are free. Education sittings need Student or Monthly. That is the whole distinction.
