You'll spend roughly eighty thousand hours of your life at work — more than with your children, your partner, or your friends. And yet almost everyone navigates those hours with tools they improvised in their first bad job and never upgraded. The market for career advice is enormous; the map connecting it is missing.

This is the map. Four territories — protecting yourself, belonging, growing, and leading — with a guide for each real situation and an instrument for each thing worth measuring instead of guessing. The organizing conviction: your working life is a system you can read, not weather you must endure.

Territory one: when work is the problem
